Finding the Floor - A thoughtful approach to midlife motherhood and what comes next.
Listen to stories told by Camille Johnson as she reflects on her life raising a family of 5 kids, being happily married for 22 years, and finding the joy and laughter of it all. She has been trying to find the floor to her kids' rooms for a while and gets a peek about once a week. Come listen as she shares her journey of finding her floor both literally and figuratively as she contemplates, life, love, cleaning, pets, books, remodeling, being a taxi driver, finding wholeness, living as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and figuring out what she finally wants to be when she grows up. If this podcasting becomes a thing well maybe this is it. Thanks for listening!

Joy as we focus on Jesus Christ
“Once the football team learned to ignore the many distractions facing them and focused on their goal, they succeeded beyond what they thought possible and experienced great joy.” In this week’s episode I am talking about having joy as we focus on Jesus Christ. I share the story of the 1996 Nigerian Football (american soccer) team who won the gold medal. This win created infectious joy for all of Nigeria. This story was used as an example that Elder I. Raymond Egbo uses in his talk titled Focus on Jesus Christ and his Gospel from October 2024 General Conference. I also loop back to the idea of our natural state being of joy, peace and contentment. Then bring in some scriptures from the Book of Mormon about people feeling so much joy because of Jesus Christ. As we are preparing for Easter in a month this is a good time to reflect on the great goodness of God that can help us experience such great joy that we can’t even imagine.
